ARTIFICIAL INSEMINATION
LAW TO CONTROL Legislation to control artficial insemination has been introduced in New .South Wales. Under the Bill, stockowners are free to inseminate their- own stock artificially, but anyone who operates an insemination centre must have a Government license. The importation of semen from other States or from overseas will be governed in the State by proclamation. The State Agricultural Department has pointed out that the use of artificial insemination by careless or unscrupulous persons could greatly harm the livestock industry by spreading disease.
