FOR ABERDEEN ANGUS BULL •"SOLD TO VICTORIAN BREEDER Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co, Ltd. have just completed the sale of the rising two year old Aberdeen Angus bull Embassy 23rd of Mangatoro, to Mr Sol. Green, of Bacchus Marsh, Victoria at the record price for export of. 759 guineas. Embassy 23rd of Mangatoro was bred by Mr Donald Grant, Mangatoro, Dannevirke, being by his great, sire Mulben Embassy, imp. and from the imported cow Perdita of Jardine, -champion at the Royal Show here and elsewhere, and a noted prizewinner in Scotland. When shown at the Breeders' Show and Sale last October at Dannevirke, Embassy 23rd of Mangatoro was second prize yearling in a very strong class to liis threequarter brother Embassy 20th of. Mangatoro, and was bought at the sale by Mr Allan Grant, of Waimate, for 65€gns. Mir Grant bred this youngster to the. sixteen foundation females in his herd, fifteen iiolding in calf, and he was then prevailed upon to quote the bull for export. His purchaser, Mr Sol Green, . recently dispersed his thoroughbred stud and is now founding an extensive stud of Aberdeen Angus cattle, and intends to make further purchases in the Dominion. At. the re■cent Sydney Royal Show lie. also bought the champion bull who, it is* interesting to note, descends from the great New Zealand champion cow, Flower. Embassy 23rd of Mangatoro has arrived saJely at his new liome.
