LABOUR PARTY DANCE

ENJOYABLE EVENING A very enjoyable evening was spent at the Caledonian Hall last Thursday when a large l section of the dancing public turned out to attend yet another dance held under the auspices of the Labour Party. Horace Waite's orchestra supplied the rhythm while Mr Don Archer made a very capable 1 M.C. Stage decorations .tastefully arranged by the ladies' committee supplied a good setting for the orchestra, whilst an excellent supper w r as also served by the same body. Novelty dances were won as under: Monte Carlo, Miss Quigg and partner. Statue Log Cabin t Mrs Magor and partner. During the evening a very enjoy-' able vocal item was rendered by Miss Raymond, whilst Mr Horace Waite also supplied some musical items. A competition! which was drawn was won by Mr "Taffy" Atkinson. Dancing continued till a late hour when tlic. evening closed with the National Anthem.
