POPULAR GIRL CONTEST
OTARIRL' PATRIOTIC COMMITTEE: In connection with the Otakiri Patriotic Gymkhana is being run a popular girl contest, the three contestants being Miss Ivy Bryant, Miss Ruth Tunnicllffe and Miss Colleen Mexted. The first dance of the competition, a report of which appears elsewhere in this issue, was held at Otakiri on Thursday evei'ing in sup- > port of Miss Ivy Bryant, and was an unqualified success. From all appearances, this type of contest is extremely popular with the crowd and the mises to do equally as "well as thchg j one held in conjunction with, the Tfc * fekoi Gymkhana over Easter. 1 \ i'-"
