KNOX CHOIR
MR S. YEOMAN FAREWELI-ED After la9t Sunday evening's service at Knox Church many of the congregation remained for an hour to join with the choir members in Md-ding, farewell to the choirmaster, Mr Sehvyn Yeoman. In expressing the; thanks of the choir to Mr Yeoman Mr D. Paterson made reference to the wonderful patience and unfailing good humour of their leader,, which, he suggested had very much, to do with the standard attained. Dr. Fletcher Cole also spoke of the pleasure he had had in working, with Mr Yeoman.. For the Court of Management the speakers were. Messrs F. Cutler and B. Watts and Miss R. Garaway for the Bible. Classes. All! speakers expresed their regret at the departure •of the Yeoman family. Gifts: of a fountain pen from the -choir and a cheque, from the Court of Management were made to Mr Yeoman who, in accepting them, said that the transfer toi Hamilton! was not of his seeking and that he would greatly miss his association with the choir and people of Knox ■Church. Supper was provided by the ladies •of the choir.
