Messrs S. S. Shapley and F. B. Cutler have been reappointed as Borough representatives on the Whakatane Fire Board. # Mr and Mrs D. C. Signal, Taneatua, have received word that their younger son Ronald, now in England, has been promoted to the. rank of Pilot Officer. Notification that the Hon. 3. Roberts, Minister of Agriculture, will be visiting Whakatane on Friday 23rd, and Saturday 24th of June, has been received by Mr W. Sullivan M.P. The. Minister will leave here on Sunday morning 25th inst.
