THE "GOOD ENDEAVOUR" LEAGUE FOR YOUNG READERS ONLY
What ho, what ho, ma hearties. Did you say that spring was just round the corner, or did Ii imagine it? lit certainly didn't look much like it earlier in the week did it. In any case I'll bet it'll be a fine week-end, because I've got a lot of gardening to do and I've, arranged with old man weather to turn on some bright sunshine. No I won't worry about the election results. They can all light for oIT ice as far as I'm concerned. I' just want to be left peacefully alone on my island,, with my two pets, and. allowed to live as 1 want, to, and write; the "Good Endeavour" column in the Beacon once a Aveek. The only time I' really sit up and take notice is when we are at Avar and then I run my Union Jack to the top mast and salute, it every morning as you do at school. I don't sing "God. Defend Newi Zealand" because last time I did I couldn't find Butinslcy for a Aveek and the milk went sour. Well, Avell, such is life. Must get on with the page. Cheerio till next wee'k.
