GOVERNOR GENERAL'S PRESENCE
VfSIT TO SCOUT RALLY
The Governor General's well known interest and enthusiasm* for the work of the Boy Scout movement has been illustrated! by his immediate willingness tcr favour the forthcoming Whakatane Rally to be staged on, the Showgrounds to-morrow afternoon with his presence.
Both Sir Cyril and Lady Newall will be present together with their children who are actually Scouts and Guides.
On. Saturday the Vice-Regal party will enter the Rallyground at 1.30 p.m. inspect the boys and take the s'alute in the. March Past.
With Lady Newall and members of his family he will then make an informal tour of the field ' meeting with the various competitional groups and chatting with the boys and their instructors.
On Sunday the- Scout authorities will again be the privileged! hosts of the Governor General and party who will attend the combined Church Service from the Band 1 Rotunda in the Domain. The service will be of onp half hour's duration after which His Excellency will address the gathering. Alternative arrangements for the Rally in the event of i*aira axe . .Afternoon programme, Winter Show Building, Clamp Fire; Caledonian Hall, combined' service; Caledonian Hall.
