A STORY IN PAINT
Another good story among many that have reached the BBC from Holland is about a German aeroplane recently shot down in that country by German anti-aircraft guns aiming at British bombers on their way to the Rhineland. The Nazi authorities were anxious to obscure the German markings on the wrecked machine. Early in the morning two Dutch painters from a nearby town were ordered to cover them up with the R.A.F. signs. The painters did the job, but they thought of a neat way of spoiling the German game. They posted by the 'plane, in prominent letering, a notice reading 'Wet Paint.'
