FOUND DEAD ON ROAD
DISCOVERY AT MURUPARA
UNIDENTIFIED AS YET
The discovery of the man's body was made by a storekeeper who resides at Murupara and who immediately communicated with the police last Saturday. Sergeant J. H. McLeod and Constable Mcintosh left liotorua in the ambulance shortly after 10 p.m. and upon arrival at Murupara found tlie man's body lying alongside a bicycle and a swag. The man had apparently been dead for some time. A receipt for money found in his clothes gave the name as William Anderson, and it was subsequently ascertained that a man answering to that name and description had recently worked on a farm near Tc Awamutu, but had left there three weeks, ago. Several pound notes were discovered in his pocket. The man was about sft lOins in height and aged between 35 and 45 years. He was dressed in working clothes had light brown hair worn long, dark brown eyes; and broken teeth in the upper jaw. The bicycle which he had been riding was painted blue.
