Could Not Happen in Berlin. As an indication of the fundamental differences between the British and the Germans which did not exist between the British and Russian, Professor \Y. A. Sewe!l speaking on Sunday evening at the Majestic Thentrc, Rotorua, referred to a cluldreus' pageant in Moscow witnessed by Dr Hewlett Johnson, Dean of Canterbury. Children representing all nations and races of the world had linked hands on the stage symbolising international friendship. "That happened in Moscow, and could happen in London or in New Zealand, but it could not happen in Berlin/' commented Professor Sewell.
