INDOOR SPORT TOURNAMENT
VISIT TO TANEATUA'
The local M.U.1.0.0.F. Lodge is carrying on its social programme to schedule and maintaining enthusiasm amongst its members. Last week teams of Table Tenni:) and Indoor Bowling teams; visited Taneatua to meet fellow members of the Lodge and contest titles to trophies. The Whakatane side annexed the Cup for the Table Tennis, while the home team retained the cup for the bowling.
The evening was an enjoyable one the visitors finding the Taneatua hospitality of its usual high order and all matches being contested in a spirit, of friendly rivalry. The results of the Table Tennis matches were as follows T'ancatua players being first mentioned: —■ C. Moore 24, C. Goodyear 31. F. Broadmore' 23, H. Litchwark 31. W. Hammond 31, Miss G. Coull 13. "C. Brown 18, Mrs G. Moore 31. Moore and Broadmore 26, C. Goodyear and Li,tchwark 31. Hammond and Brown 21, Miss Coull and Mrs Moore 31. The bowling teams were: Taneatua-: F. Cutler (s), C. Atwood, A. Teasdale and Moore Snr. "VVhakatane: Mrs Burnett (s), Mrsi Miles Mrs Gupwell and W. Russell.
