Was expressed by Mr W. H Woodward, S.M., at the New Plymouth Magistrate's Court, when an unusual application was madei for an interim order for the suppression of names of parties concerned 1 in an indictable prosecution, and, any evidence or other matters which might lead to the identification, of tin partiest concerned., reports the Taranaki Daily News. Mr A. A. Bennett., who appeared for the two a R used, in making, tb n application, asked that the order include prohibition of publication of any of the evidence, at least' until the preliminary hearing was con eluded. Refusing the application, the magistrate said he had: never had such an application madia to him before. The request was repeated later and. again refused/.
