A SHORT LIST YESTERDAY'S COURT SITTING Inspector J. H. Delves, of the Transport Department, had only short list of cases for hearing at yesterday's sitting of the Magistrate's Court, when Mr E. L. Walton, S.M-, presided. No Warrants. For having no warrant of fitness for a tradie motor Ruru Hui was I fined 10s with costs £1 7s. A fine of 10s with costs 10s was imposed, on Thomas* Glenn Pickering for a similar offence, while Peter Lindsay Horrocks who is now in camp was convicted; and l , discharged when similar information was laid. Exceeding Speed Limit. Mr G. Otley pleaded guilty on nthalf of Samuel K. SchafieW who was charged with exceeding the speed limit on Domain Road,. The defence stated that.the offender had had his day's work interrupted Motile extent of two hours by the Government impressment officers aruli was hurrying to complete the dlay'* programme. He had; not realised he wasi exceeding the limit. A fin<» of £1 with, lis costs was imposed. Cycling Without Lights. Percy Gabb and G. A. Dodunslu were both charged with riding bicycles without lights and werefined os and costs 10s respectively.
