SPORTS AT TANEATUA.

Local enthusiasm and initiative seem to have been the keynote of the thought behind and the ultimate promotion of the Sports meeting at Taneatua on Labour Day, and in this respect the warmest congratulations are due to the committee behind the fixture. An attractive programme has been drawn up and should present a good day's entertainment for the general public. All details in connection with the gathering are now complete and from 10 a.m. when the procession leaves the township for the sports ground till the concluding event in the late afternoon there will be a complete round of interest for the onlookers. It is the duty of the public to make every endeavour to support the meeting and thus lend encouragement to those who are endeavouring to carry on, in spite of difficult conditions and transport problems.
