ENTERTAINMEN T SOLDIERS FAREWELL The public of Wliakatane and district is cordially invited to a Public -Farewell to the Soldiers of the 3rd Echelon to be held in the Winter Show Buildings on Saturday morn- : ing, August 10th, at 12.15 p.m. The parade of Returned Soldiers 1 headed by the Caledonian Society's Pipe Band will assemble at the Rock at 11.45 a,m. and move off at 12 noon. His Worship the Mayor, Mr B. S. Barry, and Mr J. L. Burnett, the County Chairman, President of R.S.A and Maori representatives will fare- - well the Soldiers, after which each will be presented with a gift from the community. Other district organisations, clubs ' and social groups, arc especially invited to make presentations to their representatives of the Echelon at. this function.
