THE MISSING RAKE

EXPEDITION AT NIGHT Rakes, particularly those massive agricultural machines, which one usually beholds trundling behind teams of horses, do not as a rule have the habit of walking from their accustomed place of lodging. Such however was the case last Monday evening when a large' ponderous ■machine apparently generated' sufficient impelling power to wander from the yard of a well-known Commerce Street firm, traverse the road and deposit its bulk behind another building on .the opposite side. The outraged owner did everything short of dragging the river, but the rake with the aid of several men on leave was later discovered safe in every respect.
