A WRONG IMPRESSION
CLEARING THK AIR ON A PARAGRAPH "Rangitaiki is fortunate in that, unlike other sub-Unions throughout the Bay of Plenty, and, indeed, throlittle through the enlistment of play ughout New Zealand, it has suffered ers ," was the major portion of a paragraph in the Beacon on Wednesday, July 3rd, and which paragraph was part of a fairly lengthy complimentary discussion on the prospects of the lads from the Plains to go through the season undefeated. Although the information concerning the enlistments, or absence of them, came from Rangitaiki supporters, it has since been learned that all but four of the Rangitaiki representative team are married men, some with as many as live children, and the four single men arc at present awaiting the order to proceed to camp. We are glad to have the opportunity of correcting the statement, esoecially as other papers quoted the reference.
