POLICE ADMINISTRATION BLOCK ' COMPLETE ENCLOSURE OF COURTHOUSE Since the police administration - block was completed some twelve i months or so ago many improveL mcnts have been made, particularly in the surrounding', grounds. Prison - labour is available for digging, , planting, etc. under the sopervis- . ion of Sergeant M. Farrell, and with the approach of spring it is i hoped to lay a lawn in those por- ( tions not reserved for vegetable , growing. Improvements have also been ef- ; fectcd in the courthouse part of the j block, a fence having been erected • on the Pa side to enclose the build'- ; ing. The Clerk of Court and Re- : gistrar in Whakatane, Mr T. Mor-< [ gan, is an enthusiastic gardener and his interest is reflected, in the appearance of the grounds.
