PRICES AT FRANKTON RECENT VALUES MAINTAINED The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company Limited report: Sheep: A.t Frankton stock sale on Tuesdajr a full yarding of all classes of ewe and wether mutton include ing many pens of prime quality sheep, camc forward. Prime wethers shoAved a slight improvement in value, while medium quality lots also sold freely. An entry of 50 prime heavy wethers from Mr Crowther, Cambridge, averaged 375, w r hile wethers from Mr E. J. Owen, Pirongia, mafle 36s to 36s 3d. Good qual-? ity ewe .mutton fully maintained recent values, with a smaller entry !of fat hoggets meeting a steady demand. Cattle: A good entry of ox and cow beef, including many pens of better quality ox - beef which showed a slight improvement in value. A steady demand existed for cow and heifer beef with values fully up to recent sales. Several pens of prime runners sold freely, with boner cows realising late ra,tes. Prime medium ox from 'Glenco,' Farm, Hamilton, made to £13 7s and averaged £12 18s for a consignment of 12 head. Lighter from Mr A. Bickle, Te Rapa, sold from £11 10s to £11 17s; a consignment from Mr J. .H Gore, Tuhikaramea, realised £10 19s to £11 15s; heifer beef from Mr C. Smith, Te Kowhai made £7 12s 6d to £9 (is; prime heavy runners from Mrs M. Patterson, Horotiu, sold from £5 13s to £6 13s. Pigs: vA light entry of fat pigs,- and a ? full 3 r arding of stores and weaners. The demand for all classes was very keen with values on a par with last week's rates.
