HEADS AND PA INCLUSION IN BOROUGH ORDER IN COUNCIL GAZETTED The latest Gazette includes an Order in Council, which sets tlic official seal on the Whakatane Borough extension to include the Pa and Heads areas. The Order reads: Whereas in pursuance of section ome hundred and thirty-seven of the. Municipal Corporations Act, 193; l, a petition was presented to the Governor-General praying that certain areas be excluded from the County of Whakatane and included in the Borough of Whakatane. And whereas a Commission appointed under the said section held inquiries and recommended that the said areas be excluded from the County of Whakatane and included in the Borough of Whakatane; And whereas it is deemed expedient to make the alterations of boundaries recommended by the said Commission: Now ?r therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and of all [other poiwers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the' advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby declare that the areas doscribed in. the Schedule hereto shall be excluded from the County of Whakatane and included in the Borough of Whakatane." Then follows the description of the areas.
