YOUR ATTENTION IS REQUIRED The BEACON has been' asked to broadcast an appeal to the Ladies of the town to help the ladies of the town —i n their efforts to defeat the men in the copper trail, which will commence on Friday. The men will have the cool side of the street and the ladies, for-} tuimte in the draw for positions, will have the sunny side. iU has been said that the men deliberately went after the cool" side because! they will be going so last and hard that they will need the shade.. But, again—the- ladies. Apart from their side of the copper trail they will also run a stall near the Regent Theatre, and those with . cakes, flowers or meat to spare are asked to bring their offerings along. The battle-cry has sounded: THE! LADIES MUST WIN! ! But they must have material, munitions anil woman-power to help them to victory against the males.
