ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OFFICERS ELECTED The annual general meeting of the Whakatane Croquet Club was held in the Pavilion on Wednesday, July 3rd, with a good attendance of members. ' The balance sheet for the past season was read and adopted, and the President gave a summary of the Club's activities during the seasonMrs Gibberd who is leaving the district, was voted a life member of the Club. A vote of thanks was expressed to the retiring President, Secretary and Committee. Mrs Healy presented Mrs Shaw and Mrs Gibberd with a floral spray. "• The following officers were elected: President, Mrs A. Shaw (reelected); vice-president, Mrs Loane; committee, Mesdames Baxter, Healy, Woolliams, Comer, J. Creeke; secretary, Mrs Burgess; match committee, Mesdames Loane arid Baxter; handicapper, Mrs Healy; tea lady, Mrs Sutherland; green supervisor, Mrs Healy and Mrs Loane; draw committee, Mrs Chamberlain arid Mrs Loane
