NEW STREET

FORMATION PROGRESSES WORK IN NEW HOUSING BLOCK Work is progressing rapidly on the construction of a new road designed to give access to the new Government houses at jjresent being erected on Ramson's block. The formation of the road, which is being put through under the supervision of Mr W. Henderson, Borough Foreman, allows for a thirty foot carriage way, channelling and kerbing, with a nine foot grass verge, a five foot concrete footpath and a two foot strip of grass on each side. Having a length of approximately twelve chains, the new road is really a continuation of Salonika Street, and when completed should do much to add to this area's attraction.
