CLEARING SALE
PRICES AT OTAKIRI The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd reports having held a clearing sale 011 account of Mr T. Wray of Otakiri. There was a very large attendance and prices were very satisfactory. Best Jersey and Jersey cross cows made from £9 to £10; later calvers from £7 to £8 15s; backward calvers from £5 to £6 10s: good quality springing heifers from £8 to £9; medium and smaller heifers from £G 10s to £7 15s; cull cows from £3 fio £4 10s; small and backward from £1 to £6; 1 draught mare £14. Sows made from £3 to £4; weaner pigs from 10s to 15s. There was a keen demand for the implements of which there was a good range. TE TEKO STOCK SALE The New Zealand Loan and Mer-< cantile Agency Co. Ltd. reports a good yarding of cattle at Te Teko on Monday, with prices fully up to late rates. A pen of good conditioned Jersey steers made £8 ss; heavy fat cows and heifers £5 10s to £6 12s 6d; medium fat cows from £4 10s to £5 3s; heavy boner cows from £4 to £5 19s; lighter from £2 to £3 15s; Jersey and Jersey cross springing heifers from £7 10s to £8; with Smaller sorts £5 15s to £6 ss. Small 2-tooth wethers 17s to 17s 9d; small M.S. lambs 13s 6d.
