GENEROUS OFFER

APPEAL FOR SUPPORT It was stated by Mr J. L,. Burnett at the Patriotic Committee meeting yesterday that Mr H. Bell, of Waimana, had offered the whole of the proceeds from next Tuesday's pic--ture programme to the patriotic funds. Mr Burnett, in referring to this generous offer, appealed to the whole of the Waimana and Nukuhou district to attend the screening that night and ensure a 'bumper' house., He added that there was no limit to the price of the tickets sold. It was decided to send a letter of thanks to Mr Bell.
