TWO NEW TRACTORS
PURCHASE BY COUNTY SUBSTANTIAL SAVING EFFECTED By its purchase of two McCor-mick-Deering 40 horse-power Deisel tractors the Whakatane County Council has made a substantial' saving for the ratepayers. The original price as per quotation £805, was raised recently to over £1000. However in view of the fact that the order was placed prior to the rise, the company adhered to its previous quote, and the tractors were delivered last week at the figure agreed upon—thus effecting a save on current prices of £500.
