TANEATUA BRANCH MEETS The monthly meeting of the Taneatua Branch, W.D.F.U., was held in the Domain Pavilion recently. Mrs Hill presided. It was decided not to hold the annual Autumn Show this year, owing to unsettled conditions. Accounts w r ere passed for payment . Another decision made by the meeting was to forward a donation to the W.D.F.U. Rest Home at Palmerston North. The suggestion that the adult education scheme be taken up by the branch was negatived. Competitions resulted: Girdle scones, Mrs Frost 1 and 2. Worked apron„ Mrs Frost 1, Mrs Grace 2. Double flower, Mrs Hill 1, Mrs Munro 2. Single flower, Mrs Marsdcn 1, Mrs Prince 2. Hostesses were Mesdames Marsden. Hill and Peebles.
