STRONG WIND AND RAIN INTERFERES WITH SPORTS Athletes, tennis players and bowiers found the strong gusts of wind rather disconcerting to their different sports during Saturday afternoon Members of the Te Puke Athletic Club carried out a series of training sprints and races, and all found the going somewhat heavy after the rain and in the facc of the wind. A vast, improvement was noticeable in the condition of the track where it had received the attentions of the members of the club. There is still, however, much to do,, and work will be pushed ahead during the next few days to have everything in order for Saturday. Final arrangements | for the meeting will be made at a committee meeting of the club.
