FATALITY ATPOROPORO

ELDERLY MAORI WOMAN'S DEATH DROWNED IN RIVER Apparently as the result of overbalancing while kneeling on the river bank at Poroporo early yesterday morning, Mrs Ngamihi 'Waaka, aged 65, a resident of Poroporo, was found drowned. Mrs Waaka was seen lying in about a foot of water by Reti Tanatu, who communicated with Mr Tewera Horopapere, the latter recovering the body and informing the police. An inquest will be opened to-day.
