ANNUAL MEETING

RURAL CREDIT ASSOCIATION DIRECTORS ELECTED The annual meeting of the Rangitaiki Co-operative Rural Intermediate Credit Association Ltd. was held recently iii the office of the secretary, Mr G. A. Suckling. Mr W. A. McCracken, Chairman of the Association, presided and Mr D. Grant, District Supervisor, of Hamilton, and Mr W. R. Beattie, Branch Manager of the State Advances Corporation, Hamilton, also attended. The chairman referred to the loss the Association had suffered in 'the death of Mr Walter Reid, who had been a director since the formation of the Society. The report and balance sheet were discussed and adopted. Mr J. W. Sumner was re-elected director and Mr W. Emery was elected to fill the late Mr Reid's position. Mr F. Prideaux was reappointed auditor. In his report, the chairman stated that the number of loans in existence was not large but anticipated that there would be renewed demand for advances to farmers foi the purchase of stock and implements and improvements to properties. The organisation of the Association was admirably suited to assist,', farmers in this respect.
