BRUCE CABOT PLAYS COPS AND ROBBERS WITH EQUAL EASE
Whether he's playing a sleuth or a gangster, and Bruce Cabot appears in either characterisation !o the eminent satisfaction of motion picture fans, the actor is equally happy "Why not?" he asks. "As either cop or robber, I'm appearing in a picture that I Know is entertaining. The essence of entertainment is excitement—something that stimulates. And where can one find more excitement clian in watching llie commission of a crime, the running down of clues,, ard the apprehension of the jviller. And then there's Bruce Cabot the "kiss tester," but he doesn't like to be reminded of it. lie won that distinction in 1931 when, just entering films, he appeared opposite a long line of beauties in their screen tests. In determining their osculatory ability, Cabot showed so much technique he was put under contract and given his first role in "Roadhouse Murder."
