Mr A. Ruff and Miss M. Ruff, Niiluihou North, are visiting Wellington. Advice from England states that the Chairman of the Whakatane County Council, Mr J. G. Cli/T McCulloch, will be detained indeflnitely in the Old Country on Naval duties. It is understood that his occupation in this capacity will be mainly ashore and not with the Fleet at sea.
