TRAWLER REFLOATED?
WAIWERA AT WHALE ISLAND
OPERATIONS YESTERDAY , . The trawler, Waiwera which grounded 1 at " Whale Island a fort- ' night ago, and extensively holed hep timbers after striking a reef, : floated off safely yesterday. The operation was carried out during / the high seas Avhich were banked up by the storm, and the sistertrawler Waimana acted as salvage vessel and towed the disabled ship to deep water. The temporally repairs in the hull are reported to be holding well and. the Waiwera now awaits the arrival of calmer weather for the long tow to Tauranga, where permanent repairs will be carried out. .
