NEGLIGENT DRIVING
ARMY RECRUIT ANSWERS CHARGE "YOU'VE SAVED YOURSELF A FINE" George F. Jeffrey appeared before Mr XV. H. Freeman on Wednesday to answer a charge of negligent driving. After evidence liad been given against Jeffrey, who pleaded guilty,, and before the Magistrate could impose a penalty, JelFrey was heard to say something about 'camp.' The Magistrate: What did you say? Jeffrey: I will, be going into camp in December, sir. The Magistrate-: Oh, you'll be going into camp. Good job for you that you said that. You have saved yourself a line. Jeffrey was cidered to pay the expenses of the witnesses and Court costs, totalling £3 IGs 6d.
