AT THE EXHIBITION

KOW TO GET ACCOMMODATION

In response to an :sppop.l by the Mayor of Wellington,, householders in the Capital City have made a fine response to scire Hie problem of accommodating the thousands of "visitors expected. From November 8 to the lirst week in May the Exhibition will he open, and during that period the capacity oi boarding-thouses and hotels will not be able to cater for the holiday population. The result of the Mayor",s appeal for the

accommodation ot visitors in private homes has been the listing ol some 4000 names and the provision of approximately 0000 beds.

Complete information on accommodation and how to get it has been distributed throughout New Zealand, Printed pamphlets stating the types of board and the rates to be charged can be procured at all post offices and railway stations.

The main issue now, as far as the Accommodation Bureau is concerned, is to get in lending visitors to appreciate the necessity of making application for their accommodation. If early application is made, the best use of the facilities offering will be possible.

As well as private accommodation, the Exhibit ion Hotel and the Centennial Gue.st House will help to case the problem in Wellington. Both of these buildings have been specially erected to accommodate visitors to the exhibition. Appreciating the difficulty that will face

many intending visitors to Wellington, in that they will not be able to make personal' inspection or inquiries, the official Accommodation Bureau fulfils this need. All the bookings made by the bureau are made with a full knowledge of the conditions and conveniences in each case, and each home listed on the bureau's books has been inspected.
