Mr F. W. Doidge, M.P., is on a short visit to Australia. Messrs F. J. Reynolds and Alex ]V|[cLean, two well known sportsmfen, ' linked forces with Colonel of Auckland and marked the opening of the fishing season by their >• annual trip to Taupo. The party experienced good fishing, testing the Tongariro and Waikato Rivers and securing several limit bags. The fish at this time of the year are not so robust as in later months but being numerically strong sportsmen can look forward to a good season. . • " ' r7 ~
