CONVOYS ATTACKED

TWELVE RAIDERS OVER NORTH SEA The first attack by German raiders on ships under British convoy took place yesterday in the North Sea when a flight of twelve bombers appeared, over a group of protected vessels on their way to British ports. Bombs were dropped but tlie re was no d amage to the vessels. A number of British lighters however took the air, with the result that four of the raiders were brought down and fell into the sea. There were no British casualties.
