BOWLS OPENED
GOOD DAY AT WHAKATANE
Club members and their ladies and visiting bowlers from district clubs attended at the Whakatane greens on Saturday for the official opening of the club's season.
FaA r oured Avith line weather the day proved successful. The season Avas declared open by the president,
Mr S. McLcod, and Mrs McLeod threw the kitty down and followed Avith the first bowl.
An excellent afternoon tea Avas served by the ladies, and friendly games took place.
