SOCIAL EVENING
MESSRS ARMSTRONG AND COY. FUNCTION BY STAFF MEMBERS In spite of the general tendency towards pessimism which seems? to be the prevailing outlook slogan, it was irideed refreshing to view? the happy company who gathered to enjoy the social given by Armstrongs' Ltd i.u the King Street Hall ' . on Wednesday night. The hall was comfortably filled without being crowded, and the!music arid supper left nothing to be desired in the passing olfl a very enjoyable evening. Ted Hayden's Band played popular numbers and the new dance sensation "Boomps-a-Daisy' , was entered into with much spirit being heartily appreciated by all. Mr Bnuce Watts ably acted as M.C. for the evening and extraswere contributed by varions members of the staff and friends. , Mr Mick Armstrong who is secretary of ..the social js to be congratulated on his happy knack of organising a very. pleasant and successful ifkmction. • ■ *
