WILLED A SHILLING
GOT £30, 000 Sixty-five year old Mrs Olive O'Grady of lied T.les, LU klield, Sussex, whose mother willed her only a shilling of her £10(M)00 estate, is to receive £30,000. Settlement of her action against the executors was announced in Dublin High Court. The jury had previously •found that ,the mother, Mrs Marie Duekett, of Ballsbridge. Dublin, was not capable of making a wi.il in 19ttl, when sh? left her daughter only Is the remainder of the £100.00!) estate going almost entirely to Protestant charities. Tt was stated that the representatives of the charities had agreed to Mrs O'Grady receiving £110,000 under the terms of an eavlier wi!l o" 1929. This will was accordingly admitted to probate. Mrs Duekett was said to have complained that Mi's her only child, "led a fast life, danced, played and went to the races." To this Mrs O'Grady replied at one hearing: "How could I be fast? I have been deaf since I was a girl. I have never backed a hors' 1 , and played bridge only for a penny a hue. drecl."
