AIR TRANSPORT SERVICE

Sir, —I feel that - a recent experience of mine, concerning our inland Air Mail service will, be oifl interest to other Whakatane residents wishing to obtain some young plants from Auckland, in the best condition. I had them sent l}y air mail (Express Transit). The small parcel bears Is Id in stamps and is postmarked September 22nd. It was found in my letter box to-day, September 25th at 12 noon. The box was inspected after the postman went down our street at about 9.30 a.m., when there was no parcel. We had no intimation of another call, by whistle or other means, and it is only by lucky chance that the pareel did not remain unseen until the next morning. What a service! Yours etc., C. T. BATHE.
