AXLE WEIGHT. Taneatua Wilson on July 28 operated a heavy motor vehicle on which the weight transmitted to the road through the rear axle exceeded six tons. He was convicted and fined £3 with 12s costs. Oswald Park (Mr Smith) who operated a truck without a heavy traffic license, pleaded guilty. Mr Smith said the man had started business a? a firewood dealer. This was his first vehicle. The fine \Vas 10s, the costs 10s. .Frederick Alfred Williams (Mr OfcJ ley) charged with operating an unlicensed passenger service between Whakatane and Paroa was fined £2 with costs 10s. Thomas Hunt who carried on in unlicensed goods service was fined £2 with costs 15s. UNLICENSED TRAILER. Thomas Kirby Pollock on July 18 used an unlicensed trailer which was also Without a warrant of fitnessOn the first charge he was fined £1 with costs 12s and on the second ordered to pay costs of 12s. Roy Harold Ivearns on July 18 failed to carry a warrant of fitness for a lorry, and also drove without a driver's license. He pleaded guilty to both charges; He Avas ordered to pay £1 2s costs on the first charge and convicted and the second.
