It has transpired that BifornVs victory in the Pakuranga Hunt Club Cup was somewhat of a surprise to his owner a*id stable connections, who were afraid that the Muskall gelding might not get through the three miles without sustaining a breakdown of more or less severity. But rmce again the aged battler emerged victorious from the contest, and is therefore not 3 T et 'a back num ber.'*
