TE HERO FANCIED

The Waikato owned Te Hero, by Heroic-iProdice. has been installed first favourite for the Epsom Handi. cap, which means that his galloping work at Randwick must be full of merit. When racing in this Dominion, last year he proved a, disappoint ment, not because he was in any way lacking in speedy but simply because he behaved very erratically at the barrier, sometimes definitely refusing to race with the competitors pitted against him. On a visit to Christchurch his work was not satisfactory, and a veterinary surgeon; was of the opinion that hook trouble was looming. Apparently this did not eventuate, for no sign of limb trouble has been noticeable during his Australian visit.
