CRICKET QUEEN

SUCCESSFUL 500 EVENING

A 500 evening was held at the home of Mr R. H. Clelancl on Wednesday nig'ht, there being about 70 people present to aid the funds of the cricket and hockey queen. Mr A. Martin, assisted by Mr J. controlled the evening. The winners were: Ladies, Miss J. Buchanan men, Mr K. Day and G. Howat tied, and on the cut of the cards Mr Howat was successful; "Booby'' prizes, ladies Mrs Roulston, who cut. with Mrs M. Mart'in; men ? Mr Crocker who cut with Master L. s | After the dainty supjfer Mr H. dTf Warren thanked Mr and Mrs Clcland and the Misses Clelanct for 1 the evening, and also extended thanks to the others who had helped or at_ tended that evening. The Queen Miss Howat, thanked her supporters.
