QUESTION BY MR HULTQTJIST NOTICE GIVEN Notice has been given by Mr A. M.P., that he will ask the Minister of Industries and Commerce, whether he will immediately set up a, committee to investigate and advise him on the question of a universal freight-paid price for petrol? (Note: The question is asked with the object of securing a universal price at the earliest possible moment, and the following pre-sent-day prices in the Bay of Plenty Electorate will demonstrate the hard ship continually being borne by those in country districts —Second grade: Whakatane, Taneatua, Opotiki, Ohope Beach, and Awakeri 2s 6%d; Gisborne, Te Karaka and Or. inond 2s 7d; Edgecumbe, and Waimana 2s Matawai, Motu, Toko maru Bay and Tolaga Bay 2s 9d> Ruatoria, Whangara, Waipiro Bay and T e Puia Springs 2s lOcl; Cape Runaway and Hicks Bay 2s lid; and Tikitiki 3s. First grade petrol is td more, so 'that I am able to quote the most glaring example of hardship in New Zealand. First grade petrol at Tikitiki costs the consumer 3s Id) .
