Beat butter and sugar to a ■ i . cfeam, add golden syrup and i essence. Stir in flour and Cake I Powder previously sifted, then y*. mix all to a nice consistency ' with milk. Bake in a moderate • ■ oven to 2 hours. This cake ? is improved by keeping a day or two. (No Baking Powder ; required.) | } CAKE POWDER BUNS 2 cups flour, 1 cup sugar, 6oz. i dripping or butter, 2 dessert- * spoons Edmonds Cake Powder, ' * ? U P raisins, 1 piece peel, a t little milk. Mix flour and sugar. « rub m the dripping (oc butter). - > then add Cake Powder and fruit i and mix to a stiff dough with • tne milk. Put in dessertspoon- -v* fuls on cold greased tray and ; bake in hot oven for about 10 . minutes. (No Baking Powder *' required.) KISSES (Eggless) i 41b butter, 2 tablespoons hot water, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup flour. r 3 cup coconut, 1 teaspoon ? Edmonds Cake Powder. Melt i butter with hot water, mix into I dry ingredients which have been 1 previously mixed together. Roll >L into balls, put cm tray and flat- , > ten a little. Cook 15 minutes in *> a moderate oven. Put together it with butter icing. (No Baking Powder required.) If you haven't yet tried Edmonds Cake Powder get a 6d tin from your grocer to-day.
