FAREWELL TO MISS HOWELL A representative gathering of committee ladies met in the Lyceum Club rooms on Saturday for morning tea to say farewell to Miss Howell who is shortly leaving for England. Mrs F. Appleby apologised for the absence of Mrs Armstrong (convenor of the Drama -Circle) and said how sorry they all were to lose Miss Howell because she had been such a tower of strength in the Dramatic Circle. They wished her a very happy trip. Mrs D. Pearse also spoke of Miss Howell's good work and presented her with a handsome navv purse ind a posy of spring flowers as a token from the ladies of the club.
