GOLF BALL
EVENING AT MANAWAHE MANY VISITORS ATTEND The Golf Ball held in the iVlanaw-t ahe Hall last week proved a highjifcy successful function. The hall had J been attractively decorated for the occasion with nikau palms and gaily coloured streamers. A large crowd of including many visitors, enjoyed the excellent programme of modern and old-time dance music rendered by Freddie Burt's Rhythm Vendors. Mr L. Marmont played an extra on. the piano. The duties of M.C. were caapbly carried out by Mr L. Kendall. A very dainty 'upper was served by the committee. The waltzing competition was won. by Mr and Mrs Jenkins (Otakiri) while the prizes for the Monte CarloWaltz went to Miss M. Eivers and partner. s Those present included: Mesdames A. Jarlov, pink Canadian sheer; F. powder blue shimmer satin; V. Arisell (Auckland) red chiffon; S. Mikkelsen, blue floral taffeta; A. Hoist, flame taffeta: M. Swan, white satin; R.
